domestic life of quirky imperfection and playful abandon, and may be set in eccentric or lovely interiors.  A narrative emerges through the animated energy and visual imagery with which she identifies.  She embraces Expressionism’s sense of freedom, interprets the brilliant color of the Fauves, and combines Pop with a personal twist.  Influences include Vincent Van Gogh, Ludwig Kirchner, Emil Nolde, Pierre Bonnard, Henri Matisse, David Hockney, Alice Neel, and Keith Haring.

Stacie’s vision consistently offers viewers fun surprises through imaginative representational form and unexpected color. Women may be blue haired and figures elfishly distorted, as the work is not about visual reality, but invention.  The energetic mood may be high or calm but is always in motion, as if continually transforming. The subject matter may refer to the vibrant suburban-urban life within her sphere, contemplative interior moments, or the dynamics of her personal family relationship patterns.

She also uses her colorful style to paint portraits of her clients and their family life.

Stacie’s paintings and portraits are owned nationally and internationally.  She exhibits throughout the Mid-Hudson Valley and in New York City.  Her commissioned public art is on permanent display at Ulster County Area Transit in Kingston, New York.  Magazine covers include Chronogram, The Valley Table, The Ulster County Community Guide, HITS Program Guide, and The Van Wyck Gazette.  She has illustrated a children's book, "Ten Pigs Fiddling", and created two music cd covers by the band Grenadilla.  Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Hudson Valley Magazine, Poughkeepsie Journal, New Paltz Times and more.

Born in Long Island, New York, Stacie studied Fine Art at the State University of New York at New Paltz, and SUNY Empire State.

Stacie lives in New Paltz, New York.
